Get it Together: Episode 2

This is my jam. You jelly?

We’ve all been there before.
You open the refrigerator, and all of your fresh berries have started to go bad.

What do you do?

Whip up some jam! It’s a quick, easy, and (most importantly) yummy way to save those berries from going to waste. Check out the video below to watch our Bakery Lead Cheryl make jam with just 5 ingredients:

Full Recipe:

  • 2 pints (4 cups) black raspberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp pectin
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Cook all ingredients over medium heat for 15 minutes or until it starts to thicken slightly. It will thicken the rest of the way when it cools.

Remove from heat and puree (or you can leave it chunky if you prefer), let cool slightly before putting the jam in an air tight container. You can keep the jam in the fridge for up to three weeks.

*For other types of berries, see inside of pectin box for sugar and pectin ratios as they may vary*
