When our staff arrives at Together & Company and Sweet Carrot, they should be able to feel like they’re at home again; that we create an environment where people feel safe, included, cared for, supported. That is what we believe is part of being an Ally across the board – by creating an environment where people can say opinions constructively, can provide feedback in a safe place, and can learn in a safe space. The DEI Council is to hear these things, discuss it and find solutions, and go back into the workplace to share with the entire team.

Hispanic Heritage Month
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the DEI Council provided our team with an assortment of yummy baked goods from Panaderia Mi Pueblo, a hispanic-owned bakery located inside Saraga International Grocery on Morse Road. They have TONS of delicious goodies for an amazing price, and the smell of the bakery wafts through the entire store. Make sure you stop by and check it out!
Recognizing Juneteenth
We supported a local Black-owned business, Donna’s Delicious Dozen, for Juneteenth and fed tasty donuts to our team! Check out her business here.
