Expeditor

Together & Company is hiring an Expeditor to own the process of getting our delicious food out the door and ready to deliver to our clients. You will report to our Executive Chef and will be accountable for maintaining all quality and brand standards of food leaving our kitchen.

Responsibilities

 The primary responsibility of this role is checking out all food that is ready for delivery or transportation to an event from our kitchen confirming quantity, quality, accuracy and brand worthiness.

Additionally, responsibility of this role includes but is not limited to:

  • Packing food efficiently and effectively to set our events team up for success
  • Managing the daily timeline ensuring all food is ready and out at the scheduled time
  • Maintain an expert level understanding of the TC menu; including brand expectations, presentation, how things should be packed, menu changes, kits, etc
  • Have working knowledge of food section of BEO
  • Organization of outgoing cooler: maintaining color coding system, arranging carts, ensuring proper counts
  • Labeling all pans
  • Support the culinary team with administrative tasks such as writing prep lists, owning BEO revisions and assisting with recipe documentation
  • Attend weekly BEO and custom menu meetings
  • Attend Cul10 meetings
  • As time and bandwidth allows, the Expeditor may take on additional culinary projects such as the following:
  • Maintain temperature logs
  • Tracking feedback from event comment sheets
  • Updating food and safety binder
  • Dishtank testing
  • Allergen documentation

Required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in food and beverage
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly, kneel, stoop and reach low and high places
  • Able to stand for 8 hours at a time
  • Has evening and weekend availability

Preferred

  • ServSafe or Food Safe Handler knowledge
  • Supervisory or management experience
