Full Time Catering & Events Driver

We are looking for a Catering & Events Driver to deliver food and supplies around the Columbus metropolitan area.


The ideal candidate is a customer focused, conscientious, self-motivated professional that can carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision. This is a physical position that involves moving equipment, loading and unloading trucks and continuous lifting.

A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, experience driving a box truck is preferred and knowledge of the Columbus area is helpful.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, a good communicator, friendly and courteous and takes initiative.  Must have stamina, sense of urgency and ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs on a regular basis.


The Catering & Event Driver’s primary accountability is to transport materials, food, and supplies to event venues and on-site locations by doing the following:

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance inspections of all vehicles
  • Coordinate all trucks/van deliveries and orchestrate movement of supplies/food across all Petro Hospitality brands
  • Review daily operational pull sheets and check for accuracy before loading supplies/food for transport
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of all items leaving the building
  • Load all supplies/food in the van according to the delivery schedule
  • Transport supplies/food to an identified location on time ensuring the quality of food and no damage to supplies
  • Unload all supplies/food and place in designated location according to delivery schedule. Communicate to the on-site manager as needed
  • Set up small catering orders as needed and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Help with medium/large catering order set up as needed
  • Assist Operations department with moving and putting away items as needed
  • Communicate to the Operations Managers any issues and solicit support to resolve
  • Transport Sweet Carrot & Kitties Cakes catering items to identified locations
  • Transport Fives catering items and equipment to identified locations
  • Attend operations meetings as requested
  • Actively working alongside team members to complete deliveries
  • Provide regular, quality feedback to the Operations Manager about operational efficiency opportunities and ways to improve the customer experience


  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable driving large vehicles
  • Must pass a background check and driving records screen
  • Open availability- weekend availability required based on a rotating schedule
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50-60 pounds


  • Box truck driving experience
