Our Back of House team members are company leaders who show tremendous good judgment in food handling, preparation, and presentation always. They have extraordinary attention to detail while working quickly and efficiently. They are forward thinkers who can transition from task to task seamlessly. They work closely and collaboratively with the Culinary Team and Chefs to ensure that all food served is not only delicious, but beautifully presented, and of exceptional quality created in a clean, safe, healthful, and organized environment.

Our BOH team members are passionate and creative foodies who must also be upbeat team-players, cool under-pressure, able to take and give direction, and are comfortable asking for clarification. They are clear and concise in their communication and always work with a great sense of urgency. The Events Team family is comprised of enthusiastic team members who exist to feed people goodness and be good.  They do what is right, not what is easy, and always represent the company values of; do what it takes, love what you do, have fun doing it, leave it better than you found it, and all for one and one for all.

This is a part time position with evening and weekend requirements

Responsibilities

The BOH Team Member’s primary responsibility is to support their Events Team by doing the following:

  • Live the company values
  • Following company policies and procedures
  • Maintain menu knowledge and allergen information
  • Interact with guests and giving them your undivided attention
  • Managing the timeline ensuring timely execution of food service
  • Loading/unloading, checking, and delivering hot and cold food to events
  • Assembling and plating hors d’oeuvre
  • Buffet drop and garnish
  • Preparation of salads, and entrees
  • Plating of served meals
  • Cutting wedding cake
  • Limited grilling or frying with chef approval
  • Quality control of the menu items
  • Helping set-up and tear-down of event space and Chef Stations
  • Driving delivery vans
  • Pulling equipment as needed for events
  • Restocking equipment after events
  • Cleaning kitchens and facilities
  • Anything that helps the Events team deliver exceptional hospitality!
  • Any additional duties requested for a specific event

Required

  • Passion for Hospitality and food service
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
  • Ability to follow directions and execute fine details
  • Eligible to work in U.S.
  • Ability to move, transport, and position 25-50 lbs.
  • Working/walking on feet for minimum of 6 hours
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position for long hours
  • Ability to repeat the same motion to create the same visual for long hours

Preferred

  • 6 months culinary, hospitality or catering experience
  • PIC Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License or reliable means of transportation
  • Experience driving large trucks or vans
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Knife Skills
